Bersyn vs Scrunch: An honest comparison of two GEO platforms
Scrunch AI and Bersyn both help companies understand how AI assistants describe their product to buyers. They come at the problem from different angles, charge very different prices, and suit very different buyers. This page is the honest comparison.
Disclosure first. Bersyn is our product. The Scrunch facts here are pulled from scrunch.com and its pricing page, verified as of 28 May 2026, and we hedge anything we could not independently confirm. We also list the cases where Scrunch is the better choice — including the ones our marketing team would rather we did not. If you would rather hear about Scrunch from Scrunch, their site is at scrunch.com.
TL;DR
- Scrunch is the right call if you are an enterprise marketing team or agency, you want a polished "AI customer experience" platform with cross-LLM monitoring, citation mapping, and bot-crawl observability, you can absorb $250–$500/month per workspace, and you value a 7-day free trial and a multi-seat SaaS feel.
- Bersyn is the right call if you are a B2B SaaS founder or growth lead who wants every AI Surface in the base price at $49/month flat, wants the tool to also generate the corrective content for each Gap (not only monitor it), and prefers a free first scan with no credit card over a 7-day trial.
The honest summary: Scrunch is the more enterprise-grade product in a slightly broader category — they market themselves as an "AI Customer Experience Platform" and they look the part. Bersyn is the focused, dramatically cheaper product for the specific buyer who wants all four major LLMs covered, the corrective Patches generated, and the option to pay $49 once for a one-shot audit instead of subscribing.

Where Scrunch is better
Scope: "AI customer experience," not just visibility. Scrunch positions itself as an AI Customer Experience Platform and an Agent Experience Platform (AXP) — a broader frame than what Bersyn does. If you want one tool that monitors brand mentions, maps citations, watches AI crawlers hit your site, and produces optimisation recommendations across all of that, Scrunch is the broader product. Bersyn is deliberately narrower: measure Gaps, ship Patches, prove improvement.
7-day free trial of Starter, no credit card. Scrunch lets you evaluate the full Starter tier — 350 custom prompts, 3 personas, 5 page audits, 3 user licenses — for a week before paying. That is a substantial evaluation. Bersyn's evaluation is a single free scan rather than a week of trial access; if you want to poke at a real product with real seats before deciding, Scrunch's trial is the more generous surface.
Hallucination / factual-accuracy framing, if that is what you actually need. Multiple third-party reviews have historically described Scrunch as a hallucination-detection product. We could not confirm a dedicated hallucination-detection feature on scrunch.com or scrunch.com/pricing as of 28 May 2026 — the current site emphasises visibility, citations, and crawl observability rather than fact-checking. But if your real requirement is "audit whether AI assistants make factually inaccurate claims about my product," Scrunch is closer to that conversation than Bersyn is. Bersyn does not detect hallucinations — we detect Gaps. If a compliance or legal team is sponsoring the purchase, ask Scrunch directly about their hallucination-detection capability before assuming Bersyn replaces it.
Enterprise-grade procurement. Scrunch has SSO (SAML/OIDC), an Enterprise Data API, dedicated GTM support, and strategy reviews on higher tiers. Multi-seat licensing comes standard (3 seats on Starter, 5 on Growth). If you need to put a tool through security review and contracted support, Scrunch is built for that path. Bersyn's Founding Beta is a single $49/month tier explicitly priced for early-stage SaaS founders, not enterprise procurement.
Customer breadth. Scrunch cites Lenovo, Skims, Crunchbase, Penn State, and 500+ customers on their homepage. That logo set matters in some evaluations — particularly if "is this tool established?" is on your checklist. Bersyn is in Founding Beta; the customer base is smaller and earlier-stage.
Where Bersyn is different
~5x cheaper at entry. Scrunch's Starter is $250/month annual or $300/month monthly. Bersyn's Founding Beta is $49/month flat — roughly a 5x gap. To be fair to Scrunch: they do include all major Surfaces in Starter — there is no "Claude is locked to Enterprise" gotcha, and we want to be accurate. The price gap is still the price gap. If $250–$500/month per workspace is not in your budget, Bersyn exists in a different pricing reality entirely.
$49 one-time audit option. Not every team wants a subscription. Bersyn offers a $49 one-time audit at audit.bersyn.com — a PDF report with per-Surface Gap diagnosis and copy-pasteable text suggestions tied to specific pages on your site. Pay once, own the report. Scrunch is subscription-only as of 28 May 2026.
Bersyn generates the corrective content, not just the report. Monitoring tells you AI is recommending a competitor instead of you. It does not write the comparison page that would change that. Bersyn generates Patches — corrective content drafts, one per Gap, anchored to your verified Product Identity, ready for human review and publish. Scrunch publishes optimisation recommendations (per their homepage); we have not personally verified whether those come as ready-to-ship drafts or as guidance you then act on. If "ship the fix" is the job-to-be-done, ask Scrunch what their recommendations look like in the product before assuming the two tools are equivalent here.
SHA-256-locked Product Identity = provenance for every Patch. This is the part of Bersyn that no other GEO tool we know of replicates. Before we generate a single Patch, you attest a Product Identity — what your product is, what category it sits in, what claims you stand behind. We lock that document with a SHA-256 hash and version it. Every Patch we generate is anchored to a specific Product Identity version. That gives you provenance: you can always point to the attested identity a piece of corrective content was generated from. For teams nervous about "AI generating marketing claims," that anchor is the answer. Scrunch does not, to our knowledge, expose anything equivalent.
Per-Surface Gap typing. Each AI Surface fails differently. ChatGPT often omits a product entirely. Claude often categorises it correctly but generically. Perplexity often confuses similarly named products. Gemini often defaults to whichever name was prominent in its training cut. Bersyn classifies each failure mode per Surface as Omitted, Misclassified, Generic, or Confused, which makes the corrective content targetable to the right Surface and the right cause. Scrunch's analytics are detailed at the prompt level, but we have not been able to verify the same per-Surface failure taxonomy.
Free first scan, no credit card, no time limit. Bersyn lets you run a real scan across all four Surfaces with no payment and no clock running. Scrunch's 7-day Starter trial is broader (more prompts, more seats) but it is a clock — once the week is up, you decide. Bersyn's free first scan is a one-shot diagnostic you can return to and reference without timing pressure.
Single, predictable price. Bersyn's Founding Beta is one tier at $49/month. Scrunch has three tiers, monthly vs annual splits, and prompt / seat / persona / page-audit limits to manage. If you would rather not manage that surface area, the Bersyn single tier is the simpler instrument.
The pricing reality check
Scrunch's headline Starter price is $250/month on annual billing — $300/month monthly. If you outgrow 350 custom prompts or want strategy reviews, you are at $417–$500/month on Growth. Enterprise is custom and not published.
We need to be straight with you about one thing. An earlier draft of this page repeated a claim from older third-party reviews that Scrunch's entry tier excluded Claude, Gemini, and Grok. We re-verified directly against scrunch.com/pricing on 28 May 2026: that is not currently accurate. All tiers include the same Surface coverage (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Meta). What scales across tiers is prompt volume, seats, personas, page audits, and (at Enterprise) SSO + Enterprise Data API + dedicated GTM. We do not want to win an argument with a stat that has stopped being true.
Bersyn's $49/month is the all-in price for everything Bersyn does today. Founding Beta members are locked in at that rate.
The real question is not "is Scrunch overpriced?" — it is "what is the actual job?" If the job is enterprise-grade AI customer experience monitoring with multi-seat licensing, citation maps, and crawl observability, Scrunch is priced for that buyer. If the job is "I want to know which AI Surfaces are recommending my competitors instead of me, I want the corrective Patches generated, and I do not have $250/month for it," that is the Bersyn buyer.
Who should choose which
Choose Scrunch if:
- You are an enterprise marketing team or agency, not a founder
- You want a broader "AI customer experience" frame, including citation mapping and AI crawler observability
- A 7-day trial of a multi-seat tier is your preferred evaluation path
- Hallucination detection or factual-accuracy auditing is the actual procurement requirement (and you have confirmed with Scrunch's sales team that they ship that capability today)
- $250–$500/month per workspace fits your budget
- Enterprise procurement (SSO, API, security review, dedicated GTM team) is on your checklist
Choose Bersyn if:
- You are a B2B SaaS founder or growth lead and $49/month flat is the price point you can defend internally
- You want all four major AI Surfaces (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) in the base price with no per-Surface upcharge math
- You want the tool to ship the corrective content as Patches anchored to an attested Product Identity, not just produce a dashboard
- A $49 one-time audit is what you actually need — you want the receipt, not a recurring service
- A free first scan with no credit card and no clock is how you prefer to evaluate
Run the free first scan
The best way to decide is not to read a comparison page — it is your own scan.
Bersyn runs a free first scan with no credit card. Enter your URL and email at bersyn.com, and within about two minutes you will get a per-Surface report showing which competitors are getting recommended in your category instead of you, which AI Surface is your weakest link, and whether the problem is bad enough to act on.
If after that scan you decide Scrunch fits your situation better — especially if hallucination detection or enterprise procurement is the real driver — that is fine. The point is to make the decision with real data, not based on either of our marketing pages.
